“Winning wherever it goes next start”: Campbell Brown's horse to follow from the Freedman camp

2024-06-11T10:45+10:00

Campbell Brown is keen to follow Brave Miss out of Monday’s Mornington meeting.

The Anthony & Sam Freedman galloper produced an eye-catching runners up run over the 1600m trip and looks a horse on the rise for the powerhouse training duo.

Ridden by Damian Lane, Brown believes the wide barrier cost her winning the race and if the lightly raced mare draws more favourably next start we should be getting on!

“I made one of my best of the days Brave Miss and we saw this horse just go under,” Brown told SENTrack.

“The winner was a little bit too good for it but I certainly loved the way it savaged the line over the mile and I think the Freedman camp will be looking to stick to the mile trip or go up another 100-200 metres.

“If it draws a better gate as it jumped out of barrier ten on Monday it will get a nicer run in transit and I think Brave Miss will be winning wherever it goes next start.”

The four-year-old mare is a winner at the 1400m and 1600m distances.
