SEN 1170am reaches new heights in latest GfK Survey

SPORTS Entertainment Network's SEN 1170am has achieved a new milestone in the latest GfK Survey, securing a 1.6 per cent share in the All People 10+ demographic. The station's cumulative audience has grown to 116,000 listeners, solidifying its position as Sydney's leading sports radio network.

It is the station’s biggest survey since inception and for the second survey in a row.

'The Run Home with Joel and Fletch' – featuring Joel Caine and Bryan Fletcher - continues its upward trajectory, increasing its audience share to 3 per cent. It represents a 0.5 gain from the previous survey across the 15:00 - 18:00 daypart.

SEN 1170am's performance surged across all dayparts, with the afternoon timeslot leading the charge. 'Afternoons with Jimmy Smith' captivated listeners, posting a 1.9 per cent share (up 0.4), cementing its position as a fan favourite. 'Mornings with Matt White' maintained its upward momentum, securing a 1.7 per cent share, whilst 'Breakfast with Vossy and Brandy' also enjoyed a boost, climbing to a 1.3 per cent share.

Rugby League legend Matty Johns' weekly Friday programme 'Morning Glory' also yielded strong results, nearly doubling its audience. Additionally, the Sydney network's SENTrack on DAB+ saw its cumulative audience rise to 25,000.

"These results confirm that SEN 1170am is Sydney's go-to station for sports. Our commitment to delivering comprehensive and engaging sports content has really connected with Sydney sports fans," said SEN Content Director Jeremy Markham.

"It's great to see our daytime shows, 'Mornings with Matt White' and 'Afternoons with Jimmy Smith,' continue to grow and captivate listeners. Matt's insightful analysis, engaging style, and Jimmy's unique perspective and popularity with fans have played a big part in their success."

Meanwhile, Melbourne's SEN 1116am also experienced significant growth, achieving a 3.5 per cent share (a 0.9 increase) and a total cumulative audience of 379,000. This success was highlighted by 'Whateley' surging to a 4.4 per cent share (a 1.2 increase) and 'Dwayne's World' increasing its share by 1.1 to 4.2 per cent.

The positive trend continued for SEN 1116am, with the 'SEN Breakfast' programme, chaired by a rotating panel of Garry Lyon, Tim Watson, Kane Cornes, Nathan Buckley, and David King, proving a winner for streaming fans, recording an impressive 10.6 per cent streaming share.
