NETBALL fans will now have even greater access to their favourite sport as Sports Entertainment Network's (SEN) coverage of the Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) season begins this Sunday with the live broadcast of two games across the network.
The opening doubleheader features the Melbourne Mavericks' highly anticipated debut against cross-town rivals, the Melbourne Vixens, followed by the Sunshine Coast Lightning vs. NSW Swifts. SEN will provide live coverage of every Mavericks game on the SEN App and SEN Fanatic DAB+, with a broadcast team including Hannah Kuhar, Georgia Rajic, Amanda Myer, Gina Crampton and Madi Browne.
The national game will be heard across SEN’s national stations, including SEN 1170 in Sydney, SENQ 693 in Queensland, and SEN’s WA, SA, Tassie and NT network.
SEN's netball coverage extends beyond the court with "The Mavs Way", the official Melbourne Mavericks radio program and podcast. Hosted by players Eleanor Cardwell, Olivia Lewis, and Maisie Nankivell, 'The Mavs Way' invites fans into the world of netball, offering a blend of game insights, behind-the-scenes stories, and a glimpse into life as a Maverick. Fans can listen to the show on SEN 1116am each Tuesday night, plus the newly launched Melbourne Mavericks app and on all podcast platforms.
A dedicated Melbourne Mavericks podcast channel is also available on the SEN App.
Fans can follow along via SEN’s social handle @sen_netball.
"We are fully committed to netball and its growth across Australia. Our dedication goes beyond the Melbourne Mavericks to encompass the entire netball community," said SEN CEO Craig Hutchison.
“The standard of play and athleticism is the best in the world and we can’t wait to paint this picture for all clubs across two broadcast matches each weekend.
"Through our coverage of SSN games, the launch of 'The Mavs Way' show, and the introduction of the Mavericks app, we aim to bring fans closer to netball than ever before."
SEN Netball tips off on Sunday, April 14th, for the Melbourne Mavericks vs. Melbourne Vixens game at 1.30pm AEST, followed by the Sunshine Coast Lightning vs. NSW Swifts at 4pm AEST. "The Mavs Way" podcast and the Melbourne Mavericks app are available now.
The Melbourne Mavericks app, which launched on all platforms this week, features the latest news, video, ticketing offers, player profiles, ladder and much more. “Produced by our own Project Diamond, the Mavericks app is destined to be a favourite among netball fans and is the perfect one stop shop for the code’s newest and coolest team,” Hutchison said.
