NBL great Leroy Loggins is this week's guest on This Is Your Journey – thanks to Tobin Brothers.
One of the competition’s legends, Loggins spent the majority of his career at the Brisbane Bullets but also won a championship with the West Adelaide Bearcats in 1982.
The New Jersey native was even drafted by the Detroit Pistons in 1980 but came to Australia in 1981 to suit up for the Bullets.
After two seasons with the Bearcats, the wing returned to Brisbane where he’d play from 1984 to 2001, winning two championships for the famous club.
Loggins was also a three-time NBL MVP and a ridiculous 10-time All-NBL First Team member. He was also a nine-time NBA-All Star and two-time All-Star MVP.
While Loggins had 23 40+ point games and averaged 23.1 ppg, he was also a beast on the defensive end, winning two NBL Defensive Player of the Year awards.
Loggins ended up calling time on his NBL career at 43 years of age, while his No. 30 was retired by the Bullets in his honour.
The Australian Basketball Hall of Famer discussed his unique story and awesome career with Sam Edmund on this week’s episode.
