WATCH | JackJumpers’ McVeigh lands “shot of his life” to put Tasmania within reach of maiden NBL title

A barnstorming comeback capped off by a remarkable individual effort has seen the Tasmania JackJumpers upset Melbourne United 93-91 in game three of the NBL Championship Series.

Tasmania’s Jack McVeigh took the responsibility upon himself with two seconds to go and sent off a bomb from well beyond the three-point line that would find the net.

As ESPN commentator Jack Heverin called it: “Jack McVeigh with the shot of his life... The moment of NBL24!”

It saw the JackJumpers turn around a seven-point deficit at the final break to claim a monumental win that has Scott Roth’s side poised to win a maiden NBL title.

The JackJumpers and United return to Tasmania on Thursday night and if required, the series returns to Melbourne for game five on Sunday night.
