Global superstar Kylian Mbappe will join Real Madrid this summer once his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires, according to multiple reports.
As first reported by Le Parisien, Mbappe could reveal his decision as soon as this week after being offered a contract by Madrid in recent times.
Reports suggest there’s a growing concession within the four walls at PSG that the 25-year-old would be out the door, while there’s growing optimism from Real Madrid.
It’s understood Mbappe grew up dreaming of playing for the Spanish giant and believes the time is right to shift from Ligue 1 to La Liga. ESPN reports the money on offer from Real Madrid is half of what Mbappe currently earns in Paris, while he’s yet to inform either club of his decision.
There will be no transfer fee given Mbappe is out of contract.
As captain of France, Mbappe will no doubt also hope to represent his country at the Paris Olympics across July and August this year.
Mbappe appeared destined to sign with Real Madrid in May 2022 before a dramatic backflip that saw him pen a new deal with PSG.
