Melbourne United have strengthened their position at the top of the NBL ladder after defeating the Sydney Kings by 16 points.
United, who had zero players score over 20 points for them in the match, put up triple digits for the eighth time this season as their chances of winning another NBL title increases.
Shea Illi (19 points) was the top scorer for United as he continues to improve each game for the ladder leaders.
The reigning champs struggled to get anything going from behind the arc, as they shot 7.6% worse than their archrivals. This proved to be pivotal in the contest due to how tight it was for three and half quarters.
The Kings will look to bounce back from this defeat when they take on the Brisbane Bullets in their next game on Sunday.
Whereas for United, they will be travelling to Adelaide to play the 36ers in their next game on Saturday.
