SEN’s Dwayne Russell has named the six teams under the most pressure heading into Round 10.
Russell’s pressure meter ranks teams from 1-6, with number one having the most pressure on them and most to lose heading into the round.
Check out Russell’s pressure meter below.
1 - St Kilda
vs GWS – Giants Stadium – Sunday afternoon
“St Kilda can’t have two mulligans in a row.
“I don’t think you can have two bad games in a row, it will be a trend then.
“The last thing St Kilda need is for people to pile on them that this is a little bit of a trend after what happened last week.
“It’s a massive game I think for St Kilda against the Giants. It’s almost an elimination final for the Giants who have Toby Greene back, the Saints have Max King back.
“I’ve got St Kilda number one on mine (pressure meter).”
2 - Richmond
vs Essendon – MCG – Saturday night
“Richmond’s still kind of in elimination final mode.
“We don’t know if Richmond is back or not. They’re not fully back, they’re not fully the old Richmond, but they might be.
“It’s a big test.
“Essendon have got to stop this losing streak at some stage. They’ve lost four in a row.
“But I’ve got Richmond at number two.”
3 - Sydney
vs North Melbourne – Marvel Stadium – Saturday afternoon
“As bad as Sydney has been and as bad as they’re going, surely they’re not going to lose to North Melbourne.
“But it’s at Marvel and it’s under the roof. I reckon Lance Franklin can kick a bag and Sydney bounce back.
“The it comes to the pressure meter, if you’re going to rank them 1 to 18, North Melbourne to me is 18. They’re under no pressure whatsoever.
“Just go for it guys, you’ve got a free hit, and it’s kind of the situation that Sydney would fear that North Melbourne have a free hit.”
4 - Fremantle
vs Geelong – Optus Stadium – Saturday night
“They’ve got Geelong at home. Is Fremantle real or not?
“Geelong is vulnerable. A few injuries, a few guys out.”
5 - GWS Giants
vs St Kilda – Giants Stadium – Sunday afternoon
“I think it is getting close to elimination final time now.
“If they fall off the pace too far, if they lose this they drop to 3-7 and it’s almost impossible.
“You can’t lose your home games even though the Saints are going ok.”
6 - Carlton
vs Collingwood – MCG – Sunday afternoon
“Carlton is also the obvious.”
