Blues and Roos both headed to AFL Tribunal ahead of Good Friday clash

2023-04-03T13:15+10:00

Carlton and North Melbourne will both fight to free key players for their upcoming Good Friday clash.

The Blues will look to overturn the one-match ban given to wingman Blake Acres for rough conduct, while the Kangaroos are committed to freeing key defender Griffin Logue on the same charge.

Acres collided with GWS goal sneak Brent Daniels in the last quarter of the Carlton-GWS match at Giants Stadium in an incident assessed as careless, medium impact and high contact.

Logue’s rough conduct charge was assessed exactly the same, equating to a one-match sanction.

Acres has been a key player at the Blues after crossing to the club in last year’s exchange period, while his former Fremantle teammate Logue has been equally important at Arden Street.
