Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios is reportedly in serious talks to join NBL club South East Melbourne Phoenix as a co-owner, reports veteran NBA journalist Marc Stein.
According to sources close to Stein, Kyrgios is in “advanced talks” to join the franchise’s ownership group which is led by Los Angeles-based entrepreneur Romie Chaudhari.
Other big names in Chaudhari’s ownership group include Los Angeles Clippers veteran John Wall and ex-NBA players Zach Randolph, Al Harrington and Josh Childress.
Australian Boomers guard Dante Exum is another that has a stake in Chaudhari’s ownership group.
