Australia is in a commanding position at the end of Day 1 of the Adelaide Test, with 330 runs on the board for the loss of just three wickets.
Marnus Labuschagne (120 off 235) and Travis Head (114 off 139) did the damage and held off the West Indies’ attack, remaining unbeaten overnight.
It comes after Usman Khawaja (62 off 129) laid the foundation for the innings.
David Warner (21 off 29) and Steve Smith (0 off 8) were dismissed cheaply.
The Aussies will look to press ahead on Day 2 and lay the groundwork for a series sweep of the West Indies.
Labuschagne continued his imperious start to the Aussie summer, making his third century in as many innings.
Gerard Whateley was lavish in his praise for the 28-year-old on SEN Cricket, suggesting he might be the best pink ball batsman in cricket.
“That’s his fourth century against the pink ball. He is the preeminent player in day-night Test cricket,” Whateley said.
“What an occupying force he is proving himself to be against the West Indies.”
Tune into SEN Cricket for all the action on day 2!
