Ben Simmons has turned in his best performance as a Brooklyn player, with his 22-point outing helping the Nets to a 127-115 win over Memphis.
In his first start since late October, Simmons was 11-13 from the field and helped himself to eight rebounds and five assists.
In addition to his starring individual display, Simmons’ plus/minus of +19 was a game-high.

While the game was a breakout for Simmons, it also confirmed that he’s starting to turn a corner after he had 15 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists in Friday’s (AEDT) win over Portland.
Finding some confidence couldn’t come at a better time for the Australian who gears up to face his former team Philadelphia on Wednesday.
With the game to take place at the 76ers’ Wells Fargo Center, Simmons said post-match he knows “what’s coming” from a rabid home crowd that will be keen to barrack against their former No. 1 pick.
Luckily for the Nets, Simmons’ return to form has also coincided with star guard Kyrie Irving’s return from suspension, who had 14 points and five rebounds in the Memphis win.
Simmons and the Nets will face the 76ers at 11:30 am (AEDT) on Wednesday.
