St Kilda is set to delist defender Jarrod Lienert according to AFL Media’s Riley Beveridge.
Lienert joined the Saints from Port Adelaide ahead of last campaign and made 11 appearances in red, black and white.
While he played in half of St Kilda’s AFL games in 2022, Beveridge says he won’t be offered a new deal.
Lienert joined St Kilda as a pre-season supplemental period pick-up but was squeezed out after the club signed free agent Zaine Cordy from the Western Bulldogs on a three-year deal.
St Kilda’s only other uncontracted player was young midfielder Jack Bytel, but the club has announced he'll remain at the club on a one-year deal.
The 22-year-old reportedly attracted rival interest across the trade period but now is set to stay at Moorabbin until at least the end of the 2023 campaign.
Bytel has played 16 senior games for the Saints but failed to make an AFL appearance in 2022, instead playing 12 times for Sandringham in the VFL.
