James Harmes has avoided suspension for his heavy bump on Jake Lloyd.
Harmes was reported for rough conduct early in the fourth quarter on the Swans defender which cost Melbourne a 50-metre penalty and a goal to Lloyd.
Assessing the incident, Match Review Officer Michael Christian labelled it careless conduct, medium impact and body contact.
He’s received a $3,000 fine for the incident which can be reduced to $2,000 with an early plea.
However, the 26-year-old will be free to face Brisbane next week after Melbourne fell to Sydney by 22 points on Friday night.
