Former Australian Test skipper Tim Paine has made his mind up and will play cricket again.
After recent discussions with Cricket Tasmania CEO Dom Baker, Paine has agreed to play first class cricket for Tassie across the 2022-2023 season.
The 37-year-old has been training for a couple of weeks, looks fresh and has shown excellent touch after such a long lay off.
There remains no indication at this stage if he will suit up for the Hobart Hurricanes in the BBL.
Paine stepped down from Australian Test captaincy in 2021 after a sexting scandal was made public.
