Collingwood CEO Mark Anderson has provided a contract update on forward Jamie Elliott.
The 29-year-old has opened talks with the Magpies over a new deal with his current contract due to expire at the end of the season.
Elliott famously converted after the siren to lift Collingwood to victory over Essendon in Round 19.
The out-of-contract Magpie backed that up with two majors in his side’s six-point victory against Port Adelaide on Saturday.
Anderson says contract talks with Elliott are progressing positively.

“Discussions are going well with ‘Billy’,” Anderson told SEN’s Crunch Time.
“Graham Wright heads up that area and does a great job in that space.
“Discussions with Billy are going well.”
Elliott, who missed five weeks with an AC joint earlier this year, has kicked multiple goals in five of his last seven games.
The two-time Collingwood leading goalkicker plays his 150th game against Melbourne on Friday night.
He’s kicked 17 goals in 13 appearances in 2022.
