Luke Hodge thinks Carlton “could be anything” with their formidable forward line partnership of Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay.
Curnow and McKay have combined for 86 goals this season with the former leading the Coleman Medal with 50 majors at just over three a game.
The star duo kicked five goals each to fire the Blues to a 63-point win over West Coast in Perth last Sunday.
Hodge is looking forward to seeing how the Blues pair fare against ladder leaders Geelong on Saturday night.

“I’m so excited by Curnow and McKay,” the dual Norm Smith Medallist told SEN’s Whateley.
“If they can play another 10 years together, that club could be anything.
“It could be pack marks from Curnow, they both have the ability to work up the field, they can kick long goals, their agility for tall blokes is something that a lot of tall forwards do struggle with.
“I think what helps them is the what the midfield has been able to do.
“Having a strong midfield who can win the contested football and get it forward to them before teams can drop back, it’s exciting to watch.”
Hodge has found himself glued to his TV whenever the Blues have been in action this season.
“As soon as I see Carlton playing, the TV’s automatically on,” the Hawks great said.
“Because you know between the midfield, the talls, but also, they’ve got a good bunch of small forwards that are relentless and want to keep the ball in the forward 50, it’s an entertaining style that you want to watch.”
SEN host Gerard Whateley echoed Hodge’s thoughts about the Michael Voss’ Blues: “They’re the best popcorn team in footy.
“When those two fellows are kicking bags of goals each, that’s really something.”
Curnow and McKay and Geelong attacking twosome Jeremy Cameron and Tom Hawkins are viewed by many as the best key forward duos in the game.
Cameron and Hawkins have booted 89 goals between them in 2022 and sit second and third in the Coleman Medal respectively.
The four forwards will take centre stage when the Blues and Cats clash in a tantalising top eight encounter at the MCG.
