Fremantle great Matthew Pavlich thinks this year’s Brownlow Medal will be won by one of three players.
Pavlich’s three Brownlow Medal fancies are Fremantle’s Andrew Brayshaw, Carlton’s Patrick Cripps and Melbourne’s Clayton Oliver.
Brayshaw is a chance to receive Brownlow votes for his 36-disposal and 10-tackle performance in Saturday night’s 31-point win against St Kilda.
The 23-year-old is having a career-best year averaging a tick under 31 touches, 6.1 tackles and 4.5 clearances per game.
“Andy Brayshaw – incredible performance – 36 disposals and a goal,” Pavlich told SEN WA’s Gilly and Goss.
“He and Patrick Cripps and Clayton Oliver have got to be the three in line for the Brownlow, don’t they?
“He would’ve polled a whole heap of votes, Andy Brayshaw.
“He’s been outstanding and continues his good form.”

Pavlich, who kicked 700 goals in 353 games for Fremantle, discussed his two key takeaways from the Dockers’ victory over the Saints.
The former Fremantle captain praised Jordan Clark and Hayden Young’s impact across half-back and his former club’s ability run out games.
“Two things for me, and it kind of rubberstamps what we already know about Fremantle this year, they’re outlasting teams,” Pavich said.
“They’re saying, ‘Go with us early, we’ll take you to deep water and if you can stay with us, then good luck’.
“That was certainly evident in that second half.
“And the other thing I was really impressed with was their ball movement.
“There was some really, really impressive slicing kicks when St Kilda just couldn’t get near them.
“They’ve added that string to their bow, they’ve been able to use the ball efficiently coming out of the backline.
“Really good signs on the weekend.”
Fremantle (12-4) climbed to third spot on the ladder after taking care of St Kilda at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium.
Justin Longmuir’s side hosts seventh-placed Sydney (10-6) at Optus Stadium on Saturday night.
