Collingwood recruit Patrick Lipinski is enjoying working under Magpies coach Craig McRae.
Lipinski says McRae has been a “breath of fresh air” since he arrived at the club in last year’s trade period.
The midfielder has played every game this season, averaging career-high numbers in disposals (24.2), inside 50s (3.6), clearances (3.1) and goal assists.
Lipinski was asked how McRae’s approach to coaching differs to former Western Bulldogs mentor Luke Beveridge.

“It’s much less intense,” he told SEN’s Dwayne’s World.
“He’s very, very chilled and a people person. He’s been amazing for the group. He’s always about the positives and trying to make sure we’re getting better every day.
“Not only better players, but better people and having winning habits in everything we do.
“He’s such a breath of fresh air and it’s been really enjoyable playing for him this season.”
The Bulldogs traded Lipinski to Collingwood in exchange for pick No.43.
The 23-year-old couldn’t quite nail down a permanent spot at the Dogs, playing 56 games across five years.
“I was looking for a change up,” Lipinski said.
“With Craig becoming coach he seemed like the perfect coach for me and I’m really enjoying playing for him so far.
“I’m looking forward to the rest of the season and the years ahead with him.”
Lipinski and the Magpies travel north to play the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night.
