Brisbane forward Joe Daniher is in contention to return for Saturday night’s clash against St Kilda at the Gabba.
Lions coach Chris Fagan says Daniher, who hasn’t played since Round 7 due to a shoulder injury, has been in full training for three weeks.
“He’s always been targeted for this week,” Fagan told Sportsday.
“He’s been in full training for the last three weeks, so he’s keen to play, the medical people think he should play, they don’t think having another couple of weeks off is going to make too much difference.
“I’m in their hands. I hope and pray that they’re right.”
The second-placed Lions (9-3) have lost two of their last three games heading into their meeting with the fifth-placed Saints (8-3).
St Kilda is coming off a bye and are on a run of three consecutive wins.

“Hopefully we’re battle hardened and ready to go,” Fagan said.
“They’re going well, the Saints, so it’ll be a good game and a good test for us.”
Fagan outlined his biggest concern with his Lions side after losses to Hawthorn and Fremantle.
Brisbane also trailed by as much as 30 points to GWS in Round 11 before rallying to win by 14 points.
“I’m concerned about our centre bounce scores against in the last three or four weeks,” he said.
“That’s come out of nowhere.
“It’s been a strength of ours and suddenly it’s become a weakness. We need to have a look at that and get better at that.”
The Saints beat the Lions by 32 points in their most recent meeting at Metricon Stadium last year.
