Melbourne swings late change with surprise name recalled

Melbourne has swung a late change ahead of Saturday night’s game against Sydney, bringing in Mitch Brown to replace Tom McDonald.

McDonald is battling a foot injury, although the severity is not yet known.

Mitch Brown has been brought in for his first game since Round 5 in 2021 as McDonald’s replacement.

Brown has been selected ahead of Sam Weideman for the Demons, with Toby Bedford to be the medical substitute.

Sydney goes into the clash unchanged.

The game begins at 7.25pm AEST at the MCG.
