Fremantle champion Paul Hasleby believes his former club should target out-of-contract Adelaide forward Taylor Walker.
Walker, an unrestricted free agent, is yet to be offered a new deal by the Crows, but is keen to stay in Adelaide.
Hasleby thinks Adelaide’s all-time leading goalkicker could be the “missing part” the Dockers require to win a premiership.
Fremantle reaffirmed their flag credentials by snapping Melbourne’s 17-game unbeaten streak last week to move to third on the ladder with an 8-3 win-loss record.
Riley Thilthorpe and Darcy Fogarty spearheaded Adelaide’s attack in last week’s loss to Geelong. Walker missed the game due to COVID protocols.
Fogarty kicked three goals while Thilthorpe, the No.2 pick in the 2020 draft, failed to trouble the scorers.

“They at some stage have to get some opportunity,” Hasleby told SEN WA Drive.
“Riley Thilthorpe is one. He’s played the last couple of weeks and he’s a quality player.
“Darcy Fogarty is the other one, high draft pick, kicked three goals on the weekend.
“Thilthorpe and Fogarty the two players to go forward with, with Elliott Himmelberg in that team as well, I don’t think they’re going to offer him (Walker) two years.
“If you put two in front of him, and the Dockers could probably do it right now with their salary cap, but you probably don’t want to be going beyond that with big money, so it might be a one-year deal with a bonus option to entice him here.
“He would be their best forward. He’s a better player than Matt Taberner still, even though he’s 32.
“I think it’s a no-brainer for the one fact that he’s an unrestricted free agent.”
Walker has kicked 18 goals in seven games this season.
The former Crows captain has kicked 507 goals in 224 games.
