Carlton provides injury updates on 7 players as veteran suffers setback

2022-05-03T18:54+10:00

Carlton has provided injury updates on seven of its players heading into Round 8.

George Hewett (corked calf) and Zac Williams (Achilles soreness) will continue to be assessed and remain a test to play against Adelaide on Sunday.

Hewett and Williams both missed the Blues’ win over North Melbourne last week.

However, it's bad news for Mitch McGovern and Ed Curnow.

McGovern (hamstring) will undergo surgery and is expected to be sidelined for the next 10-12 weeks, while Curnow (calf) experienced a setback at training and won’t be available until after the AFL mid-season bye.

Liam Stocker is expected to miss the next two weeks after injuring his AC joint in Carlton’s match against the Kangaroos.

Josh Honey (knee) is tipped to return after next week’s VFL bye, while Luke Parks (foot) will be assessed again in a month.

Carlton (5-2) hosts the Crows (3-4) at Marvel Stadium on Mother’s Day.
