Race 4 # 5 GAVE US UP
Really impressed me with his last start win here charging away late with 60kg on his back. Today he faces only slightly stronger opposition carrying 5.5kg less on a track he really seems to relish racing at.
He’ll settle off the pace (not too far off) before launching for Jaden Lloyd in the straight.
Race 8 # 3 ROTHFIRE
Well, he’s a good thing on paper however as we know races, particularly Group 2’s aren’t run on paper!
He’ll cross easily from the wide gate with Jimmy Orman likely to score a couple of softish sectionals midrace, once they hit the straight we’ll find out just how sound Rothfire is as he’s back today off another injury concern. If all is ok he should be far too good. Fingers crossed!
Race 9 # 5 GO WANDJI
Love this horse, he’s just a winner who puts in 100% every single time he turns up. Charged home late to dead heat first up at Toowoomba before making up a ton of ground in a clearly unsuitably run race at Doomben 3 weeks back. 1400m around the bigger Eagle Farm circuit drawn out with plenty of room to move looks perfect.
