Sports Entertainment Network today announced its new radio station today, SEN 1611 Kalgoorlie – and pledged to give away 5,000 radios to celebrate!
The brand-new station will be heard on the frequency 1611am and form part of the WA existing SEN network. It will feature live sport and daily programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with WA legends such as Adam Gilchrist, Paul Hasleby, Damian Martin, and Scott Cummings.
The move comes as SEN makes a more profound commitment to local content and West Australian coverage, with SEN Kalgoorlie to be the fifth WA station added across the state – joining SENTrack 657am Perth, SEN Peel DAB+ Mandurah, SEN Spirit 621am Southwest, and SEN WA App Channel.
SEN has teamed up with the Harvey Norman Kalgoorlie and the Kalgoorlie Miner to celebrate the launch to give 5000 lucky listeners a brand-new SEN Kalgoorlie radio.
To get a free radio, all fans will need to buy the Kalgoorlie Miner from the 17th of March to 30th April to obtain your coupon, which can then be presented to the friendly staff at Harvey Norman Kalgoorlie to receive your radio, only until stocks last.
Kalgoorlie locals will have the opportunity to meet SEN’s The Run Home co-hosts former Perth Wildcat Damian Martin and former AFL player Paul Hasleby this Friday, 18th March at Harvey Norman Kalgoorlie store from 12-1pm.
Proud to be a part of the Kalgoorlie community and partner with a range of local businesses, fans will also listen to The Run Home live during a special edition of The Run Home on Saturday 19th of March at 9am-11am at Autobarn. Sports fans and Kalgoorlie locals are encouraged to come down and meet Hase and Marto and listen to their SEN 1611 Kalgoorlie specific show.
SEN Kalgoorlie will feature a range of local and national programming with Marquee and local talent. Breakfast with Gilly and Goss or Scotty and Goss will run Monday to Friday from 6am-8am, Kalgoorlie locals will drive home with The Run Home with Hase and Marto Monday-Friday 3pm-5pm, Drive with Peter Vlahos from Monday-Thursday 5-6pm and The Overnight Crowd with Jenny Wallace from 8pm on weekdays.
Kalgoorlie listeners will also hear a range of live sport such as AFL, NRL, NBL and more alongside national programming with Nathan Buckley, Garry Lyon, Tim Watson, Gerard Whateley, Andrew Maher and Andrew Gaze.
Sports Entertainment Network Chief Executive Officer Craig Hutchison said Kalgoorlie is a proud country town with a rich sporting heritage that deserved its platform and exposure to its sporting talents and local business.
“Kalgoorlie and the Goldfields are rich in sport and Australian history and famous for its passion, and we know there are endless local sports fans that will love their fix each day.
“We look forward to being a part of the community with our team of on-air WA and national sports identities and getting involved too locally at the grassroots level.
“And what better way to arrive than to celebrate with a free radio, on us, in partnership with the great team at Harvey Norman.”
Harvey Norman Kalgoorlie Proprietor Aaron Wright said Harvey Norman Kalgoorlie is thrilled to welcome you to 1611 SEN Kalgoorlie and partner with them to giveaway 5000 radios to local sports fans.
“I have had the privilege of dealing with SEN whilst I was based in the Southwest, and now that I am living in Kalgoorlie I am thrilled to have SEN provide our community with their product in the goldfield's region.
“What makes SEN stand out to me is their willingness to be involved in local grassroots sport and activities and their approach towards the local community in general.
“Harvey Norman Kalgoorlie is truly excited to have SEN launch in our town with a sports-based station; I know I love using the SEN app to listen to any daily sports news that I may have missed throughout my day,” Wright said.
