Australia have worked their way into a commanding position in the second Test in Adelaide, setting England a mammoth target of 468 to win in the fourth innings.
Entering the day at 1/45 and 282 runs ahead, the Aussies used the first session and a half of Day 4 to bolster their margin with Marnus Labuschagne (51), Travis Head (51) and Cameron Green (33 not out) doing the damage.
The home side finished their second innings at 9/230 declared from 61 overs in a near unlosable position.
If England are to chase the total, they’ll claim the highest run chase in Test cricket history, passing the West Indies’ chase of 418 against Australia in 2003.
The hosts will have 134 overs on Sunday and Monday to take 10 wickets and earn a 2-0 series lead.
