Kevin Naiqama is reportedly set to secure an NRL return after a stint with St Helens in the UK’s Super League.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Naiqama, 32, will sign a one-year deal with the Sydney Roosters.
The utility won three straight titles with St Helens after moving there in 2019, quickly becoming one of the competition’s premier players.
Naiqama will return to the NRL having played 113 NRL games across stints with the Knights, Panthers and Tigers.
The veteran reportedly received interest from the Tigers about a return, but a long-standing relationship with Roosters coach Trent Robinson helped convince him to move to Bondi.
SEN’s Joel Caine believes Naiqama could fill a Brian To’o like role for a club in 2022.
