In-form stayer Warning will look to make it three on the trot in Saturday’s Zipping Classic feature.
There’s no doubt race favourite Spanish Mission is the one they all have to beat, but Warning’s recent wins have him as a live chance in the $750,000 feature.
Trained by Anthony and Sam Freedman, the five-year-old has been dominant in recent times, winning the St Ledger Stakes at Randwick and then backing it up with a tough win in the Group 3 Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
Freedman Racing Manager Brad Taylor provided an update ahead of the Zipping Classic.
“He’s in really good order, he’s racing really well this preparation,” Taylor said on SEN Track’s Bensley.
“He’s another horse that we picked at the start of the spring to target these races that are worth a lot of money and he’s doing a good job.

“He’s in really good form, we’d like a little bit of rain to come, but the forecast looks to have improved over the next couple of days, but he did win on a good track at Flemington so he’s pretty adaptable.
“He’s in good form and he’s maintained that right the way through and we’re expecting a bold showing from him on Saturday.”
Saturday's run will be his last in Victoria for the preparation with the stable chasing the riches of the Queensland carnival in the $1 million Magic Millions Stayers Cup.
“Hopefully we can get him to the Gold Coast for the Stayers Cup, which is a $1 million, 2400m race that looks a really nice target for him,” he said.
Warning, to be ridden by Damien Oliver, is currently rated a $5 chance.
