For the third time in 7 days we’re racing at Eagle Farm where the track will be in the Good range with little or no chance of any rain.
Just the 8 races this afternoon with the very busy week of racing affecting the final numbers.
Couple of short priced favourites early in the day however things become more competitive as the day wears on with the last in particular featuring many winning hopes.
BEST BETS
Race 2 # 1 GO WANDJI & RACE 4 # 6 SHAMATON
These two are clearly too short for most to back individually suggesting the win multi is clearly the only way any worthwhile profit can be made.
The former was outstanding showing a real turn of foot to win a fortnight back whilst the latter was unlucky not to score closing hard late in a race not run to suit.
Maybe throw the other shortie of the day Nature Strip in the multi as well?
Race 6 # 2 LIGULATE
Looks ready to win off the last start placing running home hard at Doomben over 1350m.
Too be completely honest I’d prefer him at a mile however third up 1500m still suits nicely & he does race well here at this track appreciating the long run home as his pattern is to get back.
With Prioritise in the race there’s every chance the speed up front will be strong, that’s what we need!
Race 7 # 9 NICCI’S SPIRIT
Tony Gollan trained mare in very good form of late winning her last couple at Ipswich & the Sunshine Coast.
No reason she can’t bring that winning form to town on a Saturday aided by a favourable draw & being down on the limit weight.
She has placed here on the track which is all important.

Race 8 # 9 SHE ZA BOSS
As mentioned this final race is very competitive & I’m suggesting we have something on this mare who put in a cracking run first up 5 weeks back.
She ran home hard from the tail of the field in what was a sprint home after one of the main on-pace runners missed the start which resulted in the race being run at least 7 lengths below the average.
More pace engaged here which will certainly help. Definitely each-way in this field though.
