Report: Some charges against De Goey dropped

2021-11-02T09:15+11:00

The forcible touching charge against Jordan De Goey from a New York nightclub incident has been dropped, according to AFL Media’s Mitch Cleary.

He still faces two serious criminal charges.

Australians woke up to the news on Sunday morning that De Goey had spent the night in a New York jail on multiple charges, including forcible touching and assault.

However, it’s understood the forcibly touching charge against the 25-year-old has been dropped.

He is still scheduled to face court on December 8 for his remaining two charges in assault and aggravated harassment.

De Goey was stood down by Collingwood indefinitely on Sunday, with the club stating they are “deeply disappointed” with his actions.
