She’s back!
Our very own Margaret’s Banter is heading back to the races and is ready to run a big race first-up at Bairnsdale on Monday.
The amazing Margaret from Sunbury, who joins SEN’s Off The Bench every Saturday with Craig Hutchison and Liam Pickering, provides informed and cheeky commentary with a touch of feist, mostly about her beloved Carlton Football Club.
Margaret has a share in the filly along with some key SEN talent and the SEN family was proud to unleash the three-year-old filly who performed gallantly in her first start at Moe in May.
Following that run at Moe, Margaret’s Banter, trained by Peter and Manny Gelagotis, went to the paddock for a break and returns today in good shape.
“We’re very pleased with her,” Manny Gelagotis said on SEN Track’s Bensley.
“We’re certainly heading up there with a little bit of anticipation and just using this race as a platform to move forward with.
“We’re expecting her to run really well … she’s certainly got talent and I think she’s a deserved favourite.”
The three-year-old runs in race two in the Bet365 Maiden Plate at 1.30 pm AEDT.
