Callsign Mav heads to Saturday's Cox Plate in great form on the back of two dominant Group 1 wins at Hastings.
The five-year-old successfully defended his G1 Tarzino Trophy title on September 18 before claiming the G1 Windsor Park Plate on October 2 for trainer John Bary.
The gelding has drawn barrier five where he’ll be ridden by Luke Nolen.
“I can’t wait, he handled The Valley pretty good this morning at his second look at it,” Nolen said on SEN Track’s Bensley.
“He handles all race conditions, he ticks a lot of boxes.
“He’s a very versatile horse with how you ride him. He (Barry) sent him over in great order, I think that Tarzino race has produced around four Cox Plate winners so he brings across the right form lines for a race like this.
“With horses like Verry Elleegant and Zaaki getting beaten at their last start, it might’ve evened it up a little bit.
“I’m sure he’ll give a good account of himself.”
Callsign Mav is currently rated a $34 chance to take out the $5 million feature.
