The Wests Tigers have reportedly flagged their interest in former Canterbury forward Adam Elliott.
Elliott, 26, has been left without an NRL home in 2022 due to repeated misdemeanours off-field in regards to alcohol.
While he’s been linked to the Raiders previously, The Daily Telegraph’s David Riccio thinks he could now be headed to Concord.
“Interesting Adam Elliott still doesn’t have a club,” Riccio said on SEN 1170 Breakfast.
“I understand he’s been raised by the Wests Tigers as an option.
“On the basis that obviously, given the incidents and misdemeanours he’s found himself in, he will be of decent value for what he brings as a footballer.”
Riccio believes Elliott would come far cheaper than his previous deal at the Bulldogs due to his recent off-field behaviour.
“He was on about $450,000 at the Canterbury Bulldogs, but clubs know you would be able to get him cheaper as that as a value buy,” Riccio said.
“The Wests Tigers are certainly keeping an eye on Adam Elliott.”
Elliott played 18 games for the Bulldogs in 2021 before he and the club mutually agreed to part ways despite two years remaining on his contract.
