Will Pucovski is showing signs of concussion almost a week after being struck on the head by a cricket ball, according to The Australian’s chief cricket writer Peter Lalor.
The 23-year-old, who scored 62 on Test debut against India in January and boasts a first-class average of over 50, was struck in the nets last week.
Lalor understands Pucovski is in good spirits and is keen to return to training ahead of the start of Victoria’s Sheffield Shield campaign.
The prodigiously talented batsman has suffered multiple concussions throughout his short career and underwent shoulder surgery after falling awkwardly in the field during his one and only Test.
Pucovski is in contention to partner David Warner at the top of the order for Australia in this summer’s Ashes series.
