Titans fullback Jayden Campbell burst onto the scene in 2021 as a rookie under Justin Holbrook, starting seven games in the number one jersey and delivering some eye-catching performances to attract votes in the MEGT Australia Rookie of the Year.
Despite his light frame, the 21-year-old showed off his zip and elusiveness with ball in hand to announce himself as a player to watch in the future, namely delivering a man of the match two try performance to secure the Titans a finals spot against the Warriors in Round 25.
His final round outing wasn’t his only double for the year, with him crossing over twice in a mature performance against the ladder leading Storm, with Campbell clearly one of the better players on the ground with stars on both sides of the field.
His form this season was rewarded with a three-year contract extension, as he looks to be one of the key pieces that the Titans will move around going forward.
As the son of former Gold Coast playmaker Preston Campbell, Jayden is already a fan favourite at Cbus Super Stadium and quickly growing into one of the most much-watch players in the competition.
While his season ended in an elimination final loss to the Roosters, Campbell will be one to keep an eye on in 2022 and beyond.
