Adelaide defender Jake Kelly will depart the club via free agency in the upcoming trade period.
The club has confirmed that the 26-year-old has made the decision to return to Victoria.
Kelly played 110 games for the Crows between 2014 and 2021.
AFL Media’s Mitch Cleary has reported that Essendon is the defender’s likely destination.
The Bombers were in need of additional defensive support, relying on redeployed players and having ageing key defenders on their list.
Kelly had previously been linked with North Melbourne.
