Patrick Dangerfield has bruising of the airway and will leave hospital on Saturday, according to SEN Chief Sports Reporter Sam Edmund.
The Geelong star was subbed out of the game at quarter-time of Friday night’s eventual loss to GWS after Toby Greene collected him in the throat with a fend off.
“He’s obviously in doubt for this weekend,” he said on SEN’s Crunch Time.
“But thankfully it’s as good as could be expected in this situation.”
Edmund reports that Geelong is still waiting on further scan results and it remains unclear whether he’ll be able to take on St Kilda at GMHBA Stadium in Round 22.
Patrick Dangerfield has bruising of the airway and will be discharged from hospital today. Geelong is still waiting on further scan results, but it’s good news all things considered. Unclear at this stage whether he will play next week. Will be a busy selection table regardless.
