Former Adelaide captain Taylor Walker is under investigation by the AFL for an alleged racial slur at an opposition player at a SANFL match on July 17, according to The Age.
Walker is alleged to have made a comment to a Crows player at a quarter-time huddle about ex-Saint and current North Adelaide player Robbie Young.
The Age understands that players and an official overheard the comment and reported it to the Crows, who then notified the AFL.
An AFL spokesperson told The Age in a statement: “If there is a complaint under the Peek Rule relating to racial vilification strict confidentiality applies throughout that process until a confidential process is completed.”
The AFL Integrity Unit is investigating the matter.
