Gerard Whateley and David King have named their top four seeds in the AFL after Round 18.
These are the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward, coupled with what the teams have shown so far.
See their seedings below:
Whateley's seedings
1. Geelong
“We both have a new number one, Geelong.”
2. Melbourne
“Melbourne at two because they beat the Bulldogs when they last played them and they’re about to play again.
“That will be for the rise in the seedings in my book.
3. Western Bulldogs
“Bulldogs at three for me.”
4. Sydney
“I had them in last week.
“At quarter-time I was thinking, ‘Classic overreaction’. By the end, ‘Genius’.
King's seedings
1. Geelong
“They’re lacking nowhere.
“There isn’t a component of their game where they don’t dominate the opposition.
“Everyone tells me they’re vulnerable down back – the ball doesn’t get there.
“They’re awesome.”
2. Western Bulldogs
“(Josh) Dunkley out for 14 days rocks me a little bit.
“I’m going to put them there just because their leaders are playing super football.”
3. Melbourne
“I’m seeing some areas that have the potential to be exposed in the big games.
“Five weeks, two wins, a draw and two losses for a premier at this stage of the year doesn’t sit well for me.”
4. Sydney
“They’ve done enough to force their way in. First time in for me.”
