Gold Coast’s one-point victory over GWS at Mars Stadium has been marred by what seems like a serious knee injury to Hugh Greenwood
Speaking at half-time of the clash, Suns coach Stewart Dew told Fox Footy that the ball-winner was looking at a “suspected ACL” tear.
"It doesn't look great, the initial reports aren't really good," Dew said at half-time.
"It's a suspected ACL at this stage, but we're not confirmed. But we feel for him."
Greenwood suffered the injury as he waited for a long kick to reach him as his legs taken out from under him by falling teammate Sam Day.
While the gun went down in the first term, the Suns were able to come from behind to win in poor conditions in Ballarat.
The victory marks the second consecutive upset for Gold Coast after they defeated Richmond at Marvel Stadium last Thursday.
They next face the Bulldogs at Metricon Stadium next Saturday.
