Carlton’s Zac Williams has been slapped with a one-game ban for rough conduct against Ben Keays.
Vision emerged of Williams slamming Keays’ head into the fake turf on the perimeter of Marvel Stadium in his side’s win over Adelaide on Sunday.
Match Review Officer Michael Christian judged the incident to be intentional conduct, low impact and high contact.
In other news out of the MRO, West Coast forward Liam Ryan was handed a one-game ban for rough conduct, while a host of players were fined for a melee in Sunday’s game between the Blues and Crows.
