Midweek racing this afternoon heads north to the Sunshine Coast with an 8 racer kicking off at 12.38pm local time. There is rain forecast this morning (2-5mm) before clearing to a sunny afternoon, currently the track is rated a Soft (5) after 1mm overnight.
Looks a good betting meeting on paper should things not become too wet.

Race 5 # 1 GOLDSBOROUGH
Climbs to 60.5kg in the weights however down in grade on his second up placing in Saturday grade behind Kisukano at Doomben last month. He’s always shown above average ability & has a good record here on his home track having scored here first up.
He & the resuming Modelka are the big guns in the market this morning, with the better gate & fitness edge I’m confident he’ll get the job done.
Race 6 # 7 DESIGNS
First go at 2200m for this Victorian trained 3yo however based on her last start performance I’d suggest she’ll have no issues running it out solidly. That was in the Group 2 Roses over 2000m here when out the back early before running on late not having the clearest of paths early in the straight.
She looks the one on the up whereas her opposition have basically gone as far as they’ll ever go.
Race 8 # 3 PAREDO
Decent drop in grade for this filly from the Edmonds camp on the Gold Coast. Not far away both runs this prep in Listed & Group company she’s back to a Class 2 over a suitable trip.
She’s been competitive behind the likes of Isotope, Dusty Tycoon, Apache Chase etc within her last 5 starts, any of those runners would be short odds to win this.

Race 2 # 11 Daulat Machtigamor
Just caught the eye running on at Doomben last start in the same race Jakkalberry Finn came out of. Keep in mind he was a runaway winner here last Friday proving the form line & note Daulat’s closing sectional in that prior race was a shade quicker than Jakkalberry’s. No big odds however should be around the each-way quote.
