St Kilda coach Brett Ratten has revealed co-captain Jarryn Geary has dislocated a shoulder in St Kilda’s nine-point loss to Sydney, while forward Max King played with an injured back.
The men from Moorabbin had a frustrating time of it on Saturday afternoon, with these injuries adding another layer of sorrow for the club.
Geary hurt his wrist in the second half of the contest against the Swans, not returning to the field after trying to tackle Lance Franklin.
Ratten outlined the severity of the incident post-match.
"He would have been 15-20 minutes after the game still trying to get his shoulder back in, so he's in a fair bit of pain,” Ratten said.
Ratten also revealed that King hurt his back at training on Thursday, and again during the first half at the SCG.
"He did an amazing job to get up and play,” Ratten said.
The Saints are hopeful King will not miss any Footy, however Geary will be in doubt to play next Saturday against the Adelaide Crows.
