Geelong star Jeremy Cameron remains a chance to play in Round 3 as he returns from a hamstring injury.
The biggest recruit of the 2020 trade period pulled the hammy in the dying moments of the Cats’ final training session before Round 1.
It was Cameron’s second hamstring injury of the pre-season, but the key forward is hoping to be available for the Easter Monday showdown with Hawthorn.
“I’m a slim chance, yes (for Round 3),” Cameron told AFL Nation.
“I’m progressing really well and running again today and there’s a juicy 10-day break coming up so I’m hoping for the best.
“I think with it being in a similar position on my right leg as the first time, that’s what will hold me back if I don’t play, but I’ll push for it. I don’t want to do too much and have it get sore so I’ve got to be smart around that, but I would love to play.”
