Racing from Moonee Valley today with the feature event being the listed Carlyon Stakes over 1000m.
Rail is in the true position and with the warm weather predicting we’ll all but certainly have a dry track with tempo to determine where the winners come from.
Race 1
A heap of different form lines in this one.
Seb Song brings the best country form into this despite still being a maiden. Tough to beat but no value at $2.6.
If Ronniejay can jump cleanly he can run well.
Still Be Friends and Supreme Thunder next best.
Suggested bet: Staying out of this one.
Race 2
This is a very competitive two-year-old race.
Brazen Boy is a $2.9 favourite off a booming 14-length trial win. Completely against him at the price. Absolutely no value here.
The Globe is a fantastic chance here. Can blend into this race midfield with cover and have the last shot at the tiring leaders.
As for the rest, Direct was the only other horse to suggest. Jumped out well enough to suggest he can run a nice race on debut.

Race 3
Tough race this one.
Landing on Ocean’s Thirteen for the young apprentice Will Price. Drawn the inside barrier he should be very positive with his mount and hopefully settle in the lead. Hard to run down if that occurs.
Okotoks is drawn out deep on the course but that might prove okay for him. Races well at Moonee Valley.
Divine Honours was scratched from an easier race at Pakenham to race here. Stable love targeting this time of year as well.
Murganella and Prism next best.

Race 4
November Dreaming should map in the lead or on pace here. Was disappointing when a drifting favourite in the betting last start. Should improve here.
Re Edit flashed home first-up at Flemington. Should do the same here but being buried away on the fence won’t be ideal.
Pres De Toi and Wings of Pastrami next best.

Race 5
Nicolini Vito has to loop the entire field last start. Has strung together two impressive wins and is drawn to the do same thing here.
Deep Speed maps nicely but not sure if he might be over the top. Fourth run in his first prep. Has solid enough form on the board but enough to avoid him at the price.
Tough to pick outside of these two. Ocean Beyond debuted nicely but not sure if Geelong form is good enough.

Race 6
All Banter is the sole three-year-old of the field. If she’s a fair dinkum race horse she’ll put this lot to bed easily. Nice win first-up and now Jamie Kah hops on. Drawn perfectly. Very hard to find anything to beat her.
Kalkarni Royale continues to plug along this preparation albeit without winning and Lady Brook gets the services of Damien Oliver but she’s drawn terribly.

Race 7
Tough race this one.
Settling with Stars of Carrum each-way. Big stable change and gets the typical Peter Moody gear change - ‘nose roll first-time.’ Could be the move which sparks him back into winning form.
One More Try will run well but he just doesn't like winning and Bartholomew Dias is ready to win but $4.2 is no value.
Suggested bet: Stars of Carrum small each-way.
Race 8
Prezado gets a dry track, 1000m and Jamie Kah. Tick, tick and tick. Looks a nice each-way proposition here. Can back him to win and save the place.
Coruscate is racing in good form and Royal Witness along with Seemingly Discreet are the next best in the race.
Suggested bet: Prezado each-way.
Race 9
Overkill maps to lead or sit one pair back in this race. Should enjoy a lovely run but no value at $3.4.
Bandersnatch will be ready to fire first-up from a spell with the young apprentice Will Price booked.
Sondelon might be the one to swoop over the top of them late.
Happy to risk Housay at the price given its his fifth run in his first preparation.
