Star Melbourne five-eighth Cameron Munster is out of his knee brace and will play in the Storm's Preliminary Final next weekend.
Munster came from the field in the final 10 minutes of the Storm v Parramatta Qualifying Final, having ice applied to his right knee.
The Queensland representative has suffered two MCL injuries this season, and while initially fearing the worst, scans revealed this week that Munster only suffered a minor knock.
Speaking to NRL.com’s Joel Gould, the Storm's football operations boss Ryan Hoffman gave Storm fans some positive news.
"He's looking good. He's out of the brace and did some movement this morning," Hoffman said.
"It's certainly looking positive. Hopefully next week he can start some running early on and start working towards that final.
"At this stage, everything is looking promising. Anything can happen. He's looking good, ticking his boxes, if he keeps doing that hopefully, he should be right.”
The Storm will be relying on Munster’s fitness, going into their Preliminary Final on the harder side of the draw, potentially coming up against a Roosters side with a three-peat on their horizon.
Escaping serious injury is not only vital for the Storm, but Wayne Bennett and Queensland will be equally as thrilled, with Munster expected to play a major role in the Maroons’ origin campaign next month.
