SEN Chief Sports Reporter Sam Edmund has provided updates on the futures of Carlton small forward Eddie Betts and GWS defender Aidan Corr.
Starting with Betts, Edmund believes the Blues veteran is likely to receive a contract for 2021.
“My understanding is he wants to play on and the talks between player and club have progressed along that line to the point where it would be more surprising than not if he wasn’t allowed to go on,” he told SEN Breakfast.
“What that looks like, whether it’s a Shaun Burgoyne style arrangement I’m not sure, but I think he’s going to be a listed player at Carlton next year.”
On Corr, Edmund says the Giants defender, who has already informed the club he will exercise his free agency rights, will join the Kangaroos.
“I think he’s a done deal to North Melbourne. I think that’s pretty much signed, sealed and delivered, as much as it can be at this stage of the season,” he said.
“I think North has got him, I think there’s an agreement there and I think it’s going to be a pretty big contract.”
