Richmond star Lynch learns Tribunal fate, Cat and Lion offered bans

2020-08-24T18:34+10:00

Richmond's Tom Lynch has escaped suspension at the AFL Tribunal on Monday night.

Lynch was referred straight to the Tribunal for striking Essendon defender Michael Hurley during Saturday night’s Dreamtime match.

The star Tiger is free to play in Thursday night’s clash against fellow premiership contender West Coast at Metricon Stadium.

Lynch has been fined three times by Match Review Officer Michael Christian in August prior to tonight's hearing – twice for striking ($1000 each) against Gold Coast in Round 12 and once for misconduct ($500) against Brisbane in Round 10.

Geelong's Luke Dahlhaus (dangerous tackle) and Brisbane's Lincoln McCarthy (rough conduct) have been offered one-match bans by the MRO.
