Terry Wallace's Take
“Made the biggest play of the trade period and failed miserably. Didn’t even offer their own Pick 5. Joe Daniher would be in his rights of questioning the club’s professionalism before considering this club in 12 months.”
What Plough said before the trade period
“With four retirements and Kurt Tippett off the books… this should free up some cap space.
“They’ve been restricted in recent trade periods and now really need to be active and find a couple of quality players to bring them back up the ladder.
“They’ve got a group of eight (young) players who would be the envy of most clubs… Isaac Heeney, Callum Mills, Tom Papley, Oliver Florent, Jordan Dawson, Will Hayward, Nick Blakey and Tom McCartin. That’s a good group.”
