Adem Yze is out of the running for the vacant senior coaching job at Adelaide.
Yze re-signed with Hawthorn until at least the end of 2022 and will return to the role as forwards coach for next season.
The former Demon jetted into Adelaide to interview for the Crows' top job on Friday but will now remain at the Hawks for the foreseeable future.
“Adem is a highly respected assistant coach and has performed well in any portfolio he’s been assigned,” Hawthorn Head of Football Graham Wright told hawthornfc.com.au.
“He’ll return to coach the forwards next year but will maintain a focus on team strategy that he performed so well in in 2019.”
According to reports, fellow Hawks assistant Scott Burns withdrew his interest in the Adelaide job.
